Judoka Hamish Rees of New Zealand took a silver medal at the New Zealand U20 Championships in 2001 in the category U66kg. 2016 North island judo champs silver. Run the forgotten art judo club in Palmerston north. He won numerous medals at various events over the years. Hamish started judo in 1998 in Dannevirke and he is now the instructor of the forgotten art judo club in Palmerston North. Rees is New Zealand national b licensed referee actively working towards my national a status.
