Dutch judoka Axel Heeren bagged a bronze medal at the Dutch Juniors in 2022 held in Dordrecht. He won the Belgian U18 Championships in Antwerp in 2018 after taking the Flemish title. He won the Dutch Espoir U18 in Eindhoven in 2018. Axel claimed various victories at Cadet level in Bremen, The Hague, Haarlemmermeer and won the tournament in Warsaw. He bagged a bronze medal at the Junior European Cup in Nanterre. He claimed a silver medal at the European Cup in Riga in 2023. He took silver at the European Open in Madrid in 2023. He competed at the 2023 European U23 Championships in Potsdam.
