Madeleine Malonga, aged 30, was chosen by the French Judo Federation, pending approval from the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF), to finalize the French team for the Paris Olympics.

With Madeleine Malonga's selection in the under-78kg category, the French judo team is now complete with 14 judokas set to represent France at the Olympic Games in Paris this summer. Among them are two world-renowned athletes who have previously secured Olympic titles: Clarisse Agbégnénou and Teddy Riner.

Malonga competed alongside Audrey Tcheuméo in the -78kg category, the only remaining spot after the federation had already named 13 judokas for the Olympics.

Madeleine Malonga clinched the World Champion title in 2019 and secured silver in 2021, along with a silver at the Tokyo Olympic Games. Her dominance extends to the European stage, where she became champion in 2018 and 2020 and claimed bronze in 2019. Malonga's prowess is evident with victories at prestigious events like the Grand Slam Paris and the Grand Prix in Zagreb. With multiple medals in her cabinet, including gold at the World Masters, she continues to assert her presence, recently triumphing at the Grand Slam Antalya in 2024.
