Japan dominates the list of most successful athletes that won most Grand Slams. With five athletes in the top six led by Ryuju Nagayama and Naohisa Takato, both lightweights. Recently Nagayama defeated Takato which may me the end of the Takato era as he mentioned himself to give over the power to Nagayama. Also Hifumi Abe has won eleven Grand Slam events but took a silver medal less than the two lightweights.

The first woman in the ranking and only non-Japanese is Audrey Tcheumeo who captured nine Grand Slam victories. The French is the prospects for the Olympic Games in Paris as icing on the cake of her successful career.

Newcomers in this list are world champion Inal Tasoev who won eight Grand Slams, just as much as Canada’s Christa Deguchi and Uta Abe, sister of Hifumi. French aces Agbegnenou and Riner also won eight Grand Slams.

Majlinda Kelmendi is still leading the list of most Grand Prix events won (10).
