Last week, an Odoxa survey commissioned by Winamax and RTL made Clarisse Agbegnenou, crowned world champion for the sixth time in May in Doha, the favorite sportswoman of the year for sports fans and the French in general. With 23% of the votes, the double Tokyo Olympic champion (individual and team) is well ahead of Perrine Lafont (biathlon) at 14% and the cyclist Pauline Ferrand-Prévot and another biathlete Julia Silmon, at 13%. Among the men, Teddy Riner comes in third place, behind Antoine Dupont (rugby) and Kylian M’Bappé (football) in the sample of French people in general.

In Croatia Barbara Matic was awarded as most successful athlete by the National Olympic Committee. For sure more judoka will follow in the next days at the annual award festivities.
