Yawara Newa faces tough opposition in Golden League

This weekend in Vienna the Golden League ECC takes place in Schwechat. Title defenders are Yawara-Neva Saint Petersburg in the men’s division and Galatasaray S.K. Istanbul who won the Golden League last year in Samara. The best eight men and women teams - four medalists from the Golden League 2014 and the podium of the European Club Championships 2014 - are qualified for Vienna. The EJU will award 80.000 Euro as prize money for medal winning teams.
At the same time in Georgia the European Club Championships (ECC) takes place in Tbilisi. The host will be aiming to take over the show with two teams, namely, Sagaredjo FF Superstars and Shevardeni 2005 Tbilisi. In Vienna Austria will have the teams of Cafe & Co Vienna Samurai (women) and Volksbank Galaxy Judo Tigers Vienna (men) at the start.
Russian men’s team Yawara Newa won a record of 8 times in the EJU history.
