Córdoba judoka Tomas Moralesis the Pan American Open silver medallist and he produced a credible showing at Budapest 2017 as he lost to Egypt’s Mohamed Abdelaal in the third round. Morales is yet to medal outside of the Americas at a ranking event. In 2017 he won silver at the Pan American Open in Lima and bronze in Buenos Aires. He captured a bronze medal at the Pan American Open in Santiago and Lima in 2019. He claimed a bronze medal at the Panam Open in Santo Domingo in 2022. He took a gold medal at the Pan Am Open in Lima in 2022.
