Judoka Javier Madera from Spain became a coach after his career for Chile for 5 years and looked after the athletes from the U15 to the top adult teams. The Spaniard has been active in the Bavarian Judo Association since 2020. In 2022 he became a national base coach in Munich. He was a member of the Spanish national team for 11 years and won a bronze medal at the European Cup in London in 2012. In addition to the national championship medals, his greatest success was 9th place at the World Championships in Rio in 2013. In Bavaria he works with Brazil’s former top athlete Erika Miranda.
