Maarten Arens was European Champion in 1995 and successful coach of the Netherlands since 2005. Arens won Olympic medals as a coach with Ruben Houkes and Henk Grol and World titles with Guillaume Elmont, Dennis van der Geest and Ruben Houkes as well as a handful of European titles. He is one of the longest seeding national coaches in the world. As an athlete he became European Champion in Birmingham in 1995 and competed at the Sydney Olympic Games. Maarten is quadrupple Dutch champion. He claimed gold at the Tournoi de Paris in 2000 as one of his career highlights.
