Judo in Kosovo is now very popular because of the Olympic Gold medal of Majlinda Kelmendi. With her coach Driton Kuka Majlinda Kelmendi won the world titles in 2014 and 2015 and the Olympic title in Rio2016. The Kosovo Judo Federation is sucessful with other talents such as Distria Krasniqi who won the Junior World title and Nora Gjakova. Majlinda Kelmendi carried the flag in Rio for Kosovo. In Kosova judo is the most popular individual sport.
