Japanese heavyweight Sarah Asahina became World Champion in 2018 in Baku and silver medallist in 2017 in Budapest. She took world bronze in 2019 in the Budokan. She won the Grand Slams in Paris and Ekaterinburg in 2017. She won the Grand Slam in Tokyo in 2016 and 2017 and Grand Slam in Düsseldorf in 2018 and 2020. Sarah won the Junior World title in 2014. Asahina is one of the youngest ever winner of a World Cup event at the age of 16. (Sofia-2013). In 2019 she won the Grand Prix in Montreal.
