Eva Csernoviczki successfully defends European title in Montpellier

Hungarian Eva Csernoviczki defended her European title in the U48kg. In the final, 18-year-old French Amandine Buchard showed resistance and led the contest by by wazar-ari. Csernoviczki has the experience and claimed the victory in the golden score after a penalty for Buchard half minute passed in the golden score.

Defending champion Eva Csernoviczki didn't get too much resistance on her way to the final. She defeated Ewa Konienczy (POL) and Julia Figueroa of Spain and in the semi final she defeated Kristina Rumyantseva (RUS) which was a tougher match but the Hungarian 2013 champion won by shido.  Buchard reached the final via Maryna Cherniak, Amelie Rosseneu (BEL) and Leandra Freitas of Portugal in her first bout.

Russian Rumyantseva and Maryna Chernyak of the Ukraine took the bronze medals against Moscatt and Rosseneu.
