With her European heavyweight title of last November in Prague, Romane Dicko is approaching the Masters with great envy. Romane Dicko said to Lequipe: “I feel very good and I am happy to be back in competition. My goal is to gain places. In the first round is opposed to World number one Idalys Ortiz.

This is my first Masters and I can't wait to be able to compete in this competition. I'll take the fights one after the other and try to take points for Tokyo, period. You have to take this competition like any other. It will be, perhaps, a little more difficult but I will go there with anger. It motivates us all to know that we have a good team and that we can play a very good competition. ”

The French team took five European titles in November and the women’s team is eager to win an equal number of medals in Doha. So far in history the French women captured 6 gold medals at the Masters since 2010. Teddy Riner was the only man to win gold for France, but he did it three times. Fanny Estelle Posvite was the last woman to take gold for France in 2019 in Qingdao.
