Joshiro Maruyama and Hifumi Abe battle for Olympic spot

Japanese World Champions Joshiro Maruyama (MIKI HOUSE) and Hifumi Abe (Park 24) will have a match to determine who gets onto the Olympic team. With 250 days to go for the Olympic Games start, this is what the fans are looking forward to. It's the ultimate clash between the two top athletes.

The match will be held on December 13 (Sun) at the main dojo on the 7th floor of the Kodokan. There will be no spectators.

The tournament will be broadcast live on the TV Tokyo network, and will also be livestreamed over the Internet.

The tatami mats will be red and yellow and the players will wear white and blue judogis.

Both athletes will be tested for Covid-19 the day before the match.
