At the last day of the Judo Tournament at the European Youth Olympic Festival, the team of Turkey captured the EYOF Mixed team title. The Turkish were amazing the whole week and summarized the week with a 4-0 victory of the youth of Russia, it says it all.

In the final Musa Simsek, Hilal Ozturk, Munir Ertug and Sila Ersin were victorious for Turkey and that was enough to prevent two other contests.

Turkey was able to beat Georgia in the semi final and Italy, also a very talented nation, in the quarter final.

At the team event 13 countries participated. It was the same final as in 2017 at the Festival in Gyor (HUN) but then Russia won the title.

Germany and Hungary captured the bronze medal in Baku. The German talents defeated Italy for bronze and Hungary overcame 2017 bronze medallists Georgia.

Turkey also won the European Team title among cadets last month in Warsaw.
