Olympic champions Rafaela Silva (BRA) will also compete on day one in a competitive weight category U57kg where Nora Gjakova takes the number one seed. Also Rio medallist Telma Monteiro will be in action in Tbilisi.
Rio 2016 gold medallist U63kg Tina Trstenjak (SLO) will be in action on Saturday alongside World Championships revelation Maylin Del Toro Carvajal from Cuba. Ekaterinburg finallist Lucy Renshall may win her pool C. Trajdos takes the best position in Pool A.
U70kg an attractive field with three-time world champion and double Olympic medallist Yuri Alvear (COL) who will face former Pan American Barbara Timo in her first contest. Swedish Anna Bernholm is the favourite though, but has to watch out for Teltsidou who proved to be on form. Ekaterinburg finallist Maria Portela (BRA) is in pool B.
