Otgontsetseg Galbadrakh defeats Jeong in Almaty final U48kg

Kazach lightweight Otgontsetseg Galbadrakh won the Grand Prix at home in Almaty. Two years ago Galbadrakh won the tournament in Astana on behalf of Mongolia, now the crowd loudly cheered for the medal hope U48kg. This time she defeated Jeong Bo Kyeong of Korea, the nemesis of Galbadrakh defeated Galbadrakh four times, but not this time.
In the final Jeong received two penalties against one for the home fighter and it was Galbadrakh 20st World Cup medal, 17 in the IJF World Tour which brought her to the top 5 of the world. It was her fourth victory, this year she also won the Grand Slam of Paris which makes her one of the favourites for the Olympic title. Nathalia Brigida of Brazil defeated Lokmanhekim of Turkey for bronze and Maryna Cherniak was better than Dayaris Mestre of Cuba.
