One of the biggest names in judo, Brazilian powerhouse Leandro Guilheiro will compete for the first time after the London Olympic Games. 2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing Olympic Games medallist, in the U73kg category, will fight at the Grand Prix in Astana this weekend.

The 31-year-old fighter will try to collect points for his fourth Olympic Games. Fighting in the division U81kg is not a new thing for him, as he already has a silver medal from the World Championships in Tokyo and bronze from Paris in 2011.

In London 2012, Guilheiro had four fights, two were won against Ovchinnikov (LAT) and Attaf (MAR). He lost his match against Stevens (USA) and Nakai (JPN), both finished 5th and the Brazilian took the 7th place.

At the Kazakhstan Grand Prix there is no better way to come back on the scene when you are in the fight which starts the category. Guilheiro will face rookie Shaxzod Sobirov (UZB).
