13 Feb 2016 20:10
Odette Giuffrida serious made her candidacy for miracles at the Olympic Games. At the European Open in Rome Giuffrida won the gold U52kg and showed great judo. The bigger winners was the home crowd. Giuffrida defeated Ma Yingnan from China in the final, a revenge match with a better result this time.
Giuffrida was sensational and very happy with the result in front of family and friends. She reached the final via Anja Lunding (DEN), Lucile Duport (FRA) and she won the semi final against Tsolmon Adiyasambuu (MGL).
French Lola Benarroche is in a good shape with victories at the European Cup in Belgrade last year and the Belgian Open in Arlon in January. Today she won the gold U57kg. The gold medal U48kg was for Korean Jeong Bo Kyeong who booked her sixth World Cup victory. None of the European fighters was on the podium which was dominated by Asia and Pan America.
Mongolia won the title U63kg by Tserennadmid Tsend-Ayush who defeated Karolina Talach of Poland. Still another great performance for the Polish.
