Paralympic judoka Lucia Araujo or Lucia Da Silva Teixeira of Brazil won silver at the Paralympic Games London in 2012 U57kg and silver at the Paralympics in Rio 2016. She bagged a bronze medal at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo. She won judo bronze at the 2014 IBSA World Championships in Colorado, USA. She won the Visual Impaired Grand Prix in Birmingham in 2016 and silver at the VI German Open in Heidelberg in 2016. She secured a silver medal at the IBSA Grand Prix in Nur-Sultan in 2022. She was victorious at the IBSA Pan Am Championships in Edmonton in 2023.
