Georgian judoka Sophio Somkhishvili became European Cadet Champion in 2017 in Kaunas. She captured a silver medal at the Cadet World Championships in 2017 in Santiago de Chile. She took silver at the 2019 European Open in Prague and she captured the gold medal at the Junior European Cup in Cluj Napoca in 2019. She bagged a silver medal at the European U23 title in Budapest in 2021. European U23 Team title in 2021 with Georgia. In 2022 she took bronze at the European Open in Prague, She claimed a bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Tbilisi in 2022.
