In 2015 he won the IBSA European Championships in Lisbon. and bronze at the IBSA World Games in Seoul. European Champion in 2013 in Eger. He won the Visual Impaired German Open in Heidelberg in 2016 and silver in Eger.

The Ukrainian judokas are the ones to beat when the second day of the Rio 2016 judo competition gets underway. The first of Ukraine’s gold medal hopes to fight will be Dmytro Solovey in the men’s up to 73 kg category who reached the final.
