Judoka from Azerbaijan became European Cadet Champion U18 in 2013 in Tallinn, she won silver in 2014 in Athens. She also won silver at the World Cadet Championships in Miami in 2013. She won silver at the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing in 2014. Leyla Aliyeva (AZE) was number 1 of the IJF World Ranking for cadets U44kg in 2014. She claimed a bronze medal at the European Open in Cluj Napoca in 2019. She took a silver medal at the Grand Prix in Tashkent in 2019. She bagged a bronze medal at the European Open in Madrid in 2022.
