Legendary Turkish judoka Sezer Huysuz competed at European and World Championships and the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008. He won the World Cups in Tallinn and Apia in 2011 and the Super World Cup in 2007, all U73kg. Huysuz was Multiple Turkish champion and winner of the Turkish Open in Istanbul. In 2016 he became President of the Turkish Judo Federation. He captured gold at the Balkan Championships in 2003 in Belgrade.

IJF asks Turkish Judo Federation World Junior Championships organisation

The International Judo Federation have asked the Turkish Judo Federation to take over the organisation of the World Junior Judo Championship from North Korea. Since the political situation in North Korea is too turbulent to organize the world championships, the IJF is looking for an alternative. Previously Bosnia Herzegovina and Slovenia applied of the time of the bid. Read more

Former judoka Sezer Huysuz elected as Turkish Judo Federation President

The Turkish Judo Federation congress have chosen former top judoka Sezer Huysuz as its new president. At the ordinary general congress in Ankara on 22th October Huysuz won the elections with two candidates. Huysuz is elected for a term of four years. Former president Fatih Uysal who led the federations since 2008, decided not to continue his duty. Read more
