Russian judoka Ruslan Shakhbazov is European Junior Champion in 2016 in Malaga. In 2014 and in 2015 he took silver at the European Junior Championships. He became European Cadet Champion U18 in 2013 and won the EYOF that year. He won a bronze medal at the World Cadet Championships in 2013. He took bronze at the World Juniors in 2014. He became the U23 European Champion in 2018 in Gyor. He claimed the silver medal at the Grand Slam in Baku in 2019. He won the Universiade in Napoli.
