Finnish judoka Martti Puumalainen won a silver medal at the EYOF in Utrecht in 2013 U90kg. He won many prizes in his region. Martti won various national titles in all age categories such as the senior title in 2015 U100kg. In 2017 he won silver at Baltic Sea, Nordic Championships. Martti claimed a bronze medal at the European Cup in Celje and Bratislava in 2019. He clinched a bronze medal at the European Open in Sofia in 2020. He took bronze at the European U23 Championship in 2019 in Izhevsk.

Finnish judoka Martti Puumalainen won a silver medal at the European Youth Festival - EYOF in Utrecht in 2013 U90kg. He won many prizes in his region and was a super talent and part of a new generation for Finland, maybe the best generation ever but they realised that reaching the top in a country like Finland is really tough. Martti won various national titles in all age categories but remained a star in the Nordic but since last year he had a breakthrough. His bronze medal in Sofia this year and European U23 Championships bronze brought the heavyweight to the next level. Just when the lockdown was introduced but at least he can ski! Russia strong at last day of European Cadet Championships

Russia, Germany, Ukraine and the Netherlands collected the last five gold medals as the European Cadet Championships in Athens, Greece, wrapped up Sunday in the Olympic Center of Ano Liossia with the men’s -81kg, -90kg and +90 kg as well as with the women’s -70kg and +70 kg. Read more
