Guram Tushishvili is back after a suspension of two months by the IJF after competiting at a non-Judo official event. More importantly, he captured the gold medal at the European Open in Cluj, Romania. In the heavyweight final he defeated home fighter Mircea Croitoru. He wasn’t the only Georgia with gold. Three Italian medals in Rome Japan tops the table

Two Japanese topped the medal table of the European Open in Rome. But two Italians stole the hearts of the home crowd. The three bronze medallists Edwige Gwend, Rosalba Forciniti and Francesca Milani. Rosalba Forciniti grabs Italian title after gap of eight years

Remarkable results at the Italian Championships in Ostia this weekend. Rosalba Forciniti captured the title for women U52kg. Forciniti recently found the pleasure in judo and after getting two children she started training again in January. She competed last weekend in Ostia and won the title. Seventh Italian title for Assunta Galeone in Rome

At the Italian Championships this weekend in Ostia, near Rome, Assunta Galeone won her seventh title. The judoka from Napoli took the gold in PalaPellicone by defeating Valeria Ferrari in the final. Galeone won her first title in 2008. Assunta Galeone: "This race I lived in a very quiet, but I'm doing the same way with all the other things in my life.
