Vladimir Zoloev was born in Russia but switched to Kyrgyzstan in 2014. He won bronze at the Grand Prix in Almaty in 2016 and as junior he took various medals at European Cups in Leibnitz, St. Petersburg and Lyon. He won bronze at the World U20 Championships in Cape Town in 2011. He won bronze at the European Open in Minsk in 2017. He claimed a bronze medal at the Grand Prix in Tashkent in 2018. In 2021 he won the first asian judo title ever for his country.
