Nami Nabekura captured the gold medal at the Grand Slam in Ulaanbaatar in 2022 and 2023. She took gold at the Grand Prix in Zagreb in 2017 and 2018. She became World Junior champion in 2015. She won the World Junior Team Championships in 2014 and 2015 as only female junior. Nabekura took silver at the Masters in 2017 and 2018. Nami won the IJF World Masters in 2019 in Qingdao and silver at the IJF Judo masters in Doha in 2021. Nami started 2022 with a win at the Grand Slam in Paris silver in 2020 and 2023 and bronze in 2019. She took silver at the Asian Championships in 2022.
