In 2018 Slovenian judoka Andreja Leski In 2018 she won the Grand Slam in Düsseldorf. She won silver at the Grand Slam in Baku in 2017. She became European Cadet Champion U18 in 2014 in Athens. She won silver at the Junior European Championships in Malaga in 2016. She won bronze at the Grand Prix in Tashkent in 2016. Andreja took bronze at the Grand Prix in Budapest and Tashkent in 2018, and bronze in Paris and Düsseldorf in 2019. She clinched the gold medal at the Grand Prix in Marrakech in 2019

Alice Schlesinger retains her Baku title on first start of 2017

British Alice Schlesinger defended her 2016 Baku title with a mature performance against Tunis African Open silver medallist Andreja Leski (SLO). The modest Briton, who was making her post-Olympic return to competition, saw off world number 63 Leski on the ground as World number 12 Schlesinger trapped the body of her opponent and from there worked the arm-lock until the 20-year-old Slovenian had to submit. French judoka impress at first event with new rules

France have won six out of the eight gold medals at the first Continental open of the season. The African Open in Tunis was the first ocassion where the new rules were applicable. The French men won all categories and only Tunisia's Olfa Saoudi and Cristina Cabana Perez of Spain won their categories. Read more
