Israeli judoka Raz Hershko became European Cadet Champion U18 in 2015. At the EYOF in Tbilisi in 2015 she won a silver medal. She took a silver medal at European U23 Championships in 2017 held in Podgorica. Niece of national coach Shani Hershko. She won the European Cup in Malaga in 2018. She claimed a bronze medal at the European Open in Cluj Napoca in 2019. She took silver at the Grand Prix in Montreal.

Belarussians show off, but Russia takes double gold

Belarussia had a great day at the last competition day of the European U23 Championships in Podgorica in Montenegro. The gold medal for Daniel Mukete in an all Belarus final against Mikita Sviryd was the highlight of the day for the team of Leonid Sviryd. Montenegro take two gold at Junior European Cup in Ploiesti

The judo juniors of Montenegro won the medal table at the European Cup for Juniors in Ploiesti in Romania. At last test of the season in advance of the European Championships in Malaga in September, two judoka of Montenegro won the gold on Sunday. Minaly the Balkan nations did good business as also Croatia finished second with two gold medals. Israel and Moldova also won two gold medals. Read more

Georgian men grab gold at Junior European Cup in Athens

Georgia became the winner of the second European Cup for Juniors this season. The Iliadis Cup in Athens was crowded with over 300 athletes The event has a European Cup status since 2009, held in Mudania, Thessaloniki and Athens. During those years Greece won 18 gold medals, 11 for the men and 7 for the female talents of Greece, but couldn’t add another gold medal this time.
