French judoka Morgane Duchene became European Cadet Champion U18 in 2013 in Tallinn. She won silver at the World Cadet Championships in Miami in 2013 and gold at the Youth Olympic Games team event in Nanjing in 2014. She won European Junior bronze in 2015 in Oberwart. European Cup in Sarajevo helps to get athletes in shape

This weekend 237 athletes will be in Bosnia Herzegovina to fight at the European Cup in Sarajevo. The event is held for the ninth time and since this year Sarajevo also organizes a European Cup for Juniors, held last March. The seniors and some juniors are in action in Sarajevo with a reversed line-up of categories with the heavier categories starting on Saturday and on Sunday the light weights are in action. Four winning nations at the International Women Adidas Open of Herstal last weekend with Japan, France and Germany all catching two gold medals and Great Britain won gold via Chelsie Giles U52kg. Russian men and French women capture European team title

The Russian junior men captured the European Team title in Oberwart. The Russian team defeated Germany by 5-0 in the final. The French young women claimed the title after a victory against the Slovenian women. Read more
