Marko Bubanja won a bronze medal at the World Cadet Championships in 2013 in Miami. He took two Austrian senior titles and championships in each age category. In 2016 he switched for Montenegro having a double nationality. He won bronze at the Junior European Championships in 2016 in Malaga. He captured gold at the European Open in Warsaw in 2019. She won gold at the Balkan Championships in 2016. He claimed the gold medal at the European Open in Oberwart in 2020.

Despite te victory of Japan at the European Open in Oberwart, the Austrian male athletes can be satisfied about their performance at the Euro Open with two gold medals. It was 2001 when two Austrian took gold for their home country. On Sunday Wachid Borchashvili showed he was capable of snatching the gold U81kg and Marko Bubanja captured the title U90kg. Marko Bubanja is happy to be back. After a short switch to Montenegro he came back last year in Austria and on Sunday he won his first ever World Cup event. In his weight category U90kg the 23-year old defeated Ourouzmag Magkeyev of France. Bubanja became Austrian champion U100kg but U90kg is his real weight category but there ‘s enough international competition. Read more

Montenegro take two gold at Junior European Cup in Ploiesti

The judo juniors of Montenegro won the medal table at the European Cup for Juniors in Ploiesti in Romania. At last test of the season in advance of the European Championships in Malaga in September, two judoka of Montenegro won the gold on Sunday. Minaly the Balkan nations did good business as also Croatia finished second with two gold medals. Israel and Moldova also won two gold medals. Read more

British Junior women and Russian men shine at European Cup in Paks

At the European Cup for Juniors in Paks the team of Russia was the most convincing capturing six gold medals. With 15 medals in total, the team also grabbed the most medals.
