Algerian judoka Fethi Nourine won the African Open in Port Louis in 2014. Fethi is more familiair of his withdrawl from the Tokyo Olympics over possible matchup with Israeli athlete Tohar Butbul in the second round. Two years ago, Fethi Nourine of Algeria pulled out of the 2019 Judoka World Championships when his draw lined him up against Israeli Tohar Butbul. He took gold at the 2021 African Championships in Dakar. Nourine was banned for 10 years for his withdrawl at the games until 2031.
