Pan American Champion Lenin Preciado was the first men for Ecuador who won gold at the Pan American Games. In 2015 he won gold U60kg. He won the Pan Am titles in 2018 and 2019. He won four World Cups, his first in 2014 in San Salvador, followed by the African Open in Port Louis and PanAm Open Buenos Aires. He was Panam Champion U21. He claimed a bronze medal at the 2018 Grand Prix in Cancun. He took gold at the Pan American Championships in Guadalajara in 2021. He claimed a gold medal at the Panam Open in Santiago in 2018. He captured the gold medal at the Pan American Open in Bogota in 2022.
