Mihael Zgank became World Championships silver medallist in 2017 in Budapest for Slovenia. He finished fifth at the 2020 Olympic Games. He won the Grand Slam in Paris in 2024 and took gold at the Grand Prix Portugal in 2024. He won bronze medals at European Junior and U23 Championships. Zgank took bronze at the Grand Slam in Paris in 2017 and 2022. He switched to Türkiye as Mikail Ozerler and won the European Games in Minsk. Ozerler took gold at the Grand Prix in Antalya in 2019. Later he switched back to Zgank. He won over 20 World Cup medals.
