German judoka Theresa Stoll won the Grand Prix Düsseldorf 2017 as youngest German ever. Stoll took gold at the Grand Prix in Tbilisi in 2018. She captured a silver medal at the European Championships in 2017 and 2018. She won silver at the Grand Slam in Abu Dhabi in 2016 and silver at the Grand Prix The Hague in 2017 and Budapest in 2018. In 2017 In 2011 she won silver at the World Cadets. She won the Grand Prix in Tashkent in 2018. She claimed bronze at the Grand Slam in Brasilia in 2019.

German judoka Theresa Stoll is the youngest of the German twins. Amelie reminds her sister often she’s older. Both have the same ideas, both are successful but they also both want to qualify for the Games and met quite a few times. Theresa is so far the most successful and she is the youngest German winner in Düsseldorf. She balances judo and her training with her study. It seems a healthy combination. Two-time world medallist Nekoda Smythe-Davis of Great Britain stormed past Grand Slam debutant Ketelyn Nascimento (BRA) in the U57kg final to win Grand Slam gold for the second time in her flourishing career. Londoner Smythe-Davis, who won the Düsseldorf Grand Slam last year, got stronger as the contest went on and pulled away from her new opponent in golden score with a thunderous o-soto-gari for ippon after two minutes of additional time. Let’s face it, we’re not all like Teddy Riner. The twin sisters Stoll are obviously a remarkable couple in judo.
