Natascha Ausma of the Netherlands won bronze at the World Junior Championships in 2015 in Abu Dhabi, also with the Dutch team. She won European junior bronze in 2016. In 2016 she took bronze U70kg at the European Open in Sofia. Dutch Junior champion in 2015. European Cup bronze in Celje and Sindelfingen. National Senior finallist in 2014. She won bronze at the European Open in Sofia in 2017. Ausma won the gold medal at the European Open in Prague and Grand Prix bronze in Hohhot in 2017.

Germany claims the first European mixed title

The team of Germany has taken the first European Mixed title. In the final Germany was too strong for the Netherlands winning by 4-2. The city of Jekaterinburg hosted the first Europeam mixed event at senior level. At Junior and and Cadet level mixed team title were already introduced. The Mixed team events will be introduced at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. Read more

Dutch Sanne Vermeer picks up straight line to the top

Three Dutch judoka were responsible for the victory in the overall medal count at the European Open in Prague. In the afternoon session, Sanne Vermeer and Natascha Ausma captured the gold, while Margriet Bergstra took silver in the early session on Saturday.
