Fei Chen was fifth at the Olympic Games in 2012 in London. She participated at World Championships but never medalled. Asian Games bronze in 2010 and 2014, also with the Chinese team. She won Various IJF events, starting in Dusseldorf in 2011 U70kg and won the Grand Prix in Qingdao three times. She took bronze at the Grand Prix in Qingdao in 2016. She won bronze at the Grand Slam of Paris in 2019 and bronze in Oberwart.

Chinese athletes absent in Paris due to health crisis

The International Judo Federation was informed that Chinese athletes will not participate in the Paris Grand Slam on February 8 and 9. Due to the health crisis in China, the French embassy in China closed its doors and will not reopen before February 10, which makes it impossible to obtain visas for the Chinese delegation. Therefore the Chinese Judo Federation withdrew their athletes registered for the event. Read more

Madeleine Malonga celebrates gold with Bercy

French European champion Madeleine Malonga won her home Grand Slam for the first time as she defeated Tashkent Grand Prix bronze medallist Luise Malzahn (GER) after two minutes. Malonga opened the scoring with a waza-ari from an o-soto-gari and the final was settled when her German rival was penalised for going out of the area which was her third indiscretion. Read more

Japanese Ike Erina won her second IJF Grand Prix gold medal with a bold display on day two in Qingdao. Previously she won the Ulaanbaatar Grand Prix.
