Mongolian judoka Davaadorj Tumurkhuleg won various events such as the Grand Prix in 2015 in Mongolia. Davaadorj took the world #1 position U66kg and was double medallist at World Junior Championships. Davaadorj won the Asian Games in 2014 in Incheon. He won the Grand Slam of Paris in 2015. He finished 7th at the 2016 Olympic Games. He won 30 World Cup medals. Davaadorj won the 2014 Sambo World title at the World Championships in Narita in Japan. He took bronze at the Grand Prix in Zagreb in 2019

One of the major favs for the IJF Masters in Rabat., Mikhail Pulyaev (RUS) was defeated in the semi-final by Dzmitry Shershan of Belarus with a superb ippon. In the final, the Belarusian was opposed to Georgii Zantaraia (UKR), who produced one of his best competition performances ever. Less active than his opponent, Zantaraia was penalised with a first shido for passivity. But this was nothing to impress the former world champion U60kg (Rotterdam 2009), who with a powerful koshi-waza put a full stop to a fantastic day for him. Read more

We can say that Rishod Sobirov fully back in the top of the category U66kg. It took him two years to make the ultimate step to 66kg, from 60kg, the category that he dominated in the previous Olympic cycle. The last male final of the day opposed the top seeded athlete of the category DAVAADORJ Tumurkhuleg from Mongolia and former World and World Masters champion Rishod SOBIROV (UZB) who after an early defeat last week in Georgia showed that he was still a great fighter. World number three DAVAADORJ Tumurkhuleg (MGL) was the only top seed to come out triumphant on the opening day as he dispatched world number 198 Baruch SHMAILOV (ISR) in the -66kg final. Tokyo Grand Slam winner defeated top seed DAVAADORJ Tumurkhuleg (MGL) to win the -66kg title on the opening day of the Judo Grand Prix, Ulaanbaatar 2014. Word number seven DAVAADORJ and world number nine TAKAJO - who has fallen slightly out of favour since the emergence of Chelyabinsk-bound TAKAICHI Kengo (JPN) – were well matched and there was little to separate them until the Japanese fighter threw with drop seoi-nage with 20 seconds left to steal a late win.
