Russian judoka Yakub Shamilov bagged a world bronze medallist in 2021 in Budapest. he claimed the gold medal at the Grand Prix in Tashkent in 2019. He won the Grand Slam of Abu Dhabi in 2016 and gold at the GP of Qingdao in 2014 and gold in Hohhot in 2017. He won bronze at the European U23 Championships in 2013. He captured silver at the Grand Prix The Hague in 2017. He took a silver medal at the Grand Slam in Ekaterinburg in 2018. He became European Club Champion in 2017 with Edelweiss Grozny. He won bronze at the Grand Slam in Düsseldorf in 2019 and bronze in Kazan in 2021.
