American judoka Colton Brown won the Pan American Open in San Salvador in 2015. He won World Cup medals in Pan America and Africa. Brown participated at World and continental championships. In 2016 he took silver at the Panam Championships U90kg and qualified for Rio2016. In 2017 he won silver at the Pan American Open in Buenos Aires and bronze in Santiago.

Panam perfect practise in Havana for Olympic Games

At the second day of the Pan American Championships in Havana Brazil added another two titles, but the home crowd was more happy with the two victories of the Cuban athletes. Cuba won eleven medals in total and Jose Armenteros won the gold U100kg and Idalys Ortiz was the best +78kg. Read more

France and Netherlands take gold, Livesey gets the cheers

France and The Netherlands topped the medal table at the European Open in Glasgow. Both nations won two gold medals . Great Britain, Switzerland and Slovenia have one champion in Glasgow. The host nation captured 8 medals in total. Britain's Owen Livesey topped the podium in a strong U81kg category at the Glasgow European Judo Open. France topped the medal table with a total of five medals including two golds. Hosts Great Britain took eight medals with the home crowd enjoying the exciting judo on show at the Emirates Arena.
