Christianne Legentil of Mauritius was 7th at the Olympic Games in London U52kg where she surprised Majlinda Kelmendi. In 2016 she again finished 7th and defeated Gili Cohen. She won four African Championships medals from 2009-2015 and captured the gold at the African Open in Port Louis in 2014. Highlight was silver at the Grand Prix in Astana in 2014. She clinched a bronze medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
