She claimed a bronze medal at the European Cup in Celje in 2019. She took the gold at the European Open in Cluj Napoca in 2019.

German women’s head coach Claudiu Pusa travels with confidence to Japan after a successful preparation with confidence. However he had to make once change in the team last weekend as Laura Vargas-Koch got injured again and tore her ACL. It was a is a shock for her but also all athletes in the team. World Champ Tushishvili makes golden comeback

Guram Tushishvili is back after a suspension of two months by the IJF after competiting at a non-Judo official event. More importantly, he captured the gold medal at the European Open in Cluj, Romania. In the heavyweight final he defeated home fighter Mircea Croitoru. He wasn’t the only Georgia with gold. All men won gold on Sunday, taking four medals. Read more

European Cup in Uster breeding ground for challengers

Georgia, France and Germany were the best nations at the first European Cup of the season held in Uster. Most over young athletes between 18 and 24 won the titles with young Georgians and more experienced French judoka. German women set junior records at European Cup in Prague

The German junior women proved their strength at the European Cup in Prague. Four category titles were captured by the German women and Falk Petersilka added one in the men’s division to make it five. Azerbaijan showcased strong judo among the men obviously beginning with gold in the lightweights U55kg by Rashkan Bakhishaliyev. Two all Azeri finals in U55 and U60 where Ahmad Yusufov won the title.
