Slovenian heavyweight judoka Vito Dragic won bronze at the Asian Open in Taipei in 2015. He won five national medals (2010-2014) and European Cup medals in Belgrade and Celje. He took gold at the European Cup in Sarajevo in 2016. He took bronze at the African Open in Tunis in 2017. He clinched a gold medal at the European Cup in Celje in 2019. He took silver at the European Cup in Dubrovnik in 2020.

Ceric and Samardzic capture gold for Bosnia Herzegovina

Bosnia and Herzegovina celebrate two gold medals in one day at the European Cup in Sarajevo. For its own crowd Larisa Ceric celebrated a gold medal in the women’s heavyweight category. For Ceric her sixth victory in Sarajevo in a row, an outstanding record. In a field of 11 women Ceric was the strongest. In the final she overcame Milca Zabic of Serbia. Read more

European Cup Belgrado start with strong field

This fifth jubilee edition of the European Cup in Belgrade gathered 277 athletes from 23 nations. The Serbian Judo Federation hosts the fifth jubilee edition with a field that is tougher than ever where many athletes will use this event as a bridge in their preparation for the European U23 Championships. For some countries it is seen as a qualification tournament for the European Championships which is held in November in Slovakia. Read more
