Swedish judoka Robin Pacek won bronze medals at the Grand Prix of Jeju in 2013 and Qingdao in 2014 U81kg. Pacek is triple Swedish champion. He qualified for Rio thanks so an amazing European Championship in Kazan in 2016 where he won bronze with amazing matches. He took a bronze medal at the European Open in Sofia and bronze at the European Open in Prague in 2018. He took bronze at the Grand Prix in Budapest in 2018.

Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin opened the European Judo Championships in Kazan with a speech for the 8700 fans in the stadium. With the opening ceremony the judo event was opened with a solid show. It was for the last time in 2014 at the World Championships in Chelyabinsk that president Putin visited a large judo event like this. He visited the team event then. In 2010 he visited the European Championships in Vienna where he also held a speech on the podium. Read more

Nordic Capital Judo Challenge in Stockholm

This Saturday, Stockholm will breathe judo. The square at Medborgarplatsen will be transformed into a judo arena for the Nordic Capital Judo Challenge. Robin Pacek doubtful about European Games after injury at GP Budapest

Swedish Champion Robin Pacek injured his right ankle at the first round at the Grand Prix of Budapest against Rinat Ibragimov (KAZ). After twenty seconds in the match the Swede forced his ankle when he was thrown and couldn’t continue. After visiting the hospital in Budapest he had to wear a cast the next day to protect the ankle for further investigation in Sweden. Read more
