Belgian Roxane Taeymans won the European U23 title in 2013 in Samokov U70kg. In the seniors she won her first World Cups in 2015 in Santiago and Minsk. At national level she won national titles in each age division: U17, U20 and seniors twice. She won silver at the Grand Prix in Tunis in 2018. The uchi-mata technician is balancing full-time judo with her second Masters degree as the Tokyo 2020 hopeful is studying Management at KU Leuven, a research university in the Dutch-speaking town of Leuven
