He won events in Dusseldorf, Grand Slam Paris, IJF Masters in Tyumen and was World #1 from april 2013 to april 2014. In 2011, when he was just starting out his career, Sainjargal gave Ono the shock of his life when he suddenly switched from his normal right stance to throw him with a left-sided uchimata for ippon.
