Gavin Mogopa got a wild card for participating the Olympic Games in 2016 U60kg. He has won some regional medals recently. He won a gold medal at the zone 6 regional games U55kg in 2014 which were held in Zimbabwe He won another gold medal at the zone 6 judo championship U55kg in 2015 and won silver in the U60kg senior category. He studies sports management in Cardiff and train at the HP centre in Wales. His aim is to win a medal at the Commonwealth Games and qualify for Tokio 2020.
