Polling was World and European Junior Champion in 2010. Polling won bronze at the World Championships in 2013. Polling won the IJF World Masters in 2014, 2015 and 2016. She took gold at the 2016 Grand Prix Tbilisi. Triple Dutch senior champion.

Juul Franssen makes golden return at The Hague Grand Prix

Two gold medals for the Netherlands today at the Grand Prix in The Hague with an emotional gold for Juul Franssen who was absent for 13 months. She ended with gold in Abu Dhabi in October last year and after a disastrous period without judo due to a conflict and suspension Franssen wasn’t allowed to fight. Read more

Former world number one Kim Polling of the Netherland stole a march on European champion Sanne Van Dijke (NED) as she bombarded her teammate with attacks and scores in a ruthless display which was full of heart and conviction. World number 18 Polling has seen her standing as the Netherlands’ top U70kg judoka in jeopardy after world number seven Van Dijke has travelled far and wide on the IJF World Judo Tour this year. The Netherlands is proud to host an Grand Prix for the first since 2011. The Hague Grand Prix is the last Grand Prix of the year. The organisers of the World Championships in 2009 will start in The Hague with a fine field of 231 athlete from 43 nations. Sweden’s Anna Bernholm wins maiden Grand Slam title

Swedish judoka Anna Bernholm broke new ground on Friday when she claimed her first IJF Grand Slam gold medal. The Swedish Zagreb Grand Prix bronze medallist moved up from U63kg to U70kg last year and the move was largely questioned by judo aficionados who thought that she was better suited to the lighter weight. Dutch team with Grol and Polling full of World medal potential

The Dutch team for the World Championships in Budapest includes a little surprise. Triple World Championships runner-up Henk Grol was not very sure how to proceed after the Olympic Games; most likely he would start +100kg. His last matchday was at 11 August 2016 when he couldn’t overcome Cyrille Maret. Now it appears that Grol will make his comeback in Budapest, fighting U100kg.
